Behind the lens: An Introduction to Dan Andrews Photo

Hello and welcome to Dan Andrews Photo, where memories and not just captured; they are artfully crafted with quality and creativity. I’m Dan Andrews, the person behind the lens, offering a personable and professional service with each client. I’m thrilled to share a bit of my world with you, where every photograph tells a story. 

Photography to me is more than just a profession; it’s a heartfelt passion. It’s also capturing those fleeting memories that you wish could last forever. It’s about telling a story – through images that speak volumes. My journey into photography began 11 years ago, shooting photos through travel photography and video, climbing buildings with my YouTube Urban Cowboys, creating short films, and taking unique photos at the top of skyscrapers and cranes. I learned the craft on film and perfected a completely manual camera before moving to digital. Then with digital I shot small jobs and eventually transitioned into shooting professionally which I have been doing for 5 years with countless weddings and commercial jobs. 

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a good shot and nailing the exposure, framing and the edit after. Couple that with meeting new people and experiencing the happiest day someone will have is a privilege and a pleasure.  

Why weddings? 

There’s something magical about weddings. It’s not just the union of two people but the coming together of families, friends and loved ones to celebrate a big moment in somebody’s life.
